I am so lucky to have the space in my home to turn a good size room into a home studio! I spent New Years Eve redecorating my studio with my best friend Will @wdynamite1,who i definatley need to shout out since he’s been such a big help :)especially with my not feeling too well. So, I posted a few pictures of the process & the almost end result…..Hope you enjoy! I still have a few finishing touches; some new curtains, a wall mount for the backdrops, a Jankula Images sign & it will be complete! Hopefully this time next year I will be sharing with you pictures of a second studio location 🙂 Would love your feedback and any other ideas you think would help make my studio that much better!
The whole studio had a fresh coat of paint, and then I decided to do my accent wall in (Martha Stewarts) silver metallic paint since I really wanted to stick with the colors black, white, & silver! I have 3 mirrors in my studio since every model loves to look & themselves 😉 its helpful while modeling as well. I seperated the main studio where I shoot and a hair & makeup space with some white sheer drapes and decorated the new makeup & hair station with my gorgeous new lighted vanity mirror from Vanity Girl Hollywood! I was so excited when I purchased my mirror from some Christmas money, it arrived within 2 days. This mirror is amazing! They had a few options to choose from on their website, like colors, styles, & sizes but as a makeup artist & photographer I had to go with the Broadway Lighted Table Top Vanity Mirror since it has 13 large, professional-quality, dimming light bulbs, and provides the type of clean, soft white light makeup artists and photographers love. The base also has an easily accessible dual power outlet which is perfect for a airbrush compressor, or even hot tools to get stated on your hair! There are also so many celebs that are advertised as using these mirrors right now, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, and even the Kardashian’s have one in their DASH VIP Makeup room in New York, and they were also used at the 2010 olympics.
