So I had the chance to work with Jillisa Lynn a second time she is such a doll , very professional, fun and has amazing energy! You may have seen her in magazines such as The Source, BlackMen, ESPN, GIRLS, HipHopWeekly  or in a music video with artist such as Snoop Dogg, Soulja Boy, Keri Hilson, Tyrese, Ray-J, Jamie Foxx and Justin Timberlake just to name a few. She is now the new spokes model for the enhanced mineral water “OxyWater”! Hooters Calendar Shoot with KD!

Had so much fun shooting with KD for the 2013 Hooters Calendar.  KD began modeling about 4 years ago as a hobby and something fun to do back in college and fell in love with it. Through this hobby, she has been blessed with the opportunity to do promotional campaigns for Verizon, Monster Energy, as well as nation wide Hooters campaigns. She has done numerous Hooter Swimsuit pageants, television and radio ads for ESPN radio, voters choice in the 2012 West Coast Hooters Calendar, with hopes to make it into the Hooters International Bikini Pageant in Miami this July. Jankula Images Home Studio!

I am so lucky to have the space in my home to turn a good size room into a home studio! I spent New Years Eve redecorating my studio with my best friend Will  @wdynamite1,who i definatley need to shout out since he’s been such a big help :)especially with my not feeling too well.  So, I posted a few pictures of the process & the almost end result…..Hope you enjoy!  I still have a few finishing touches; some new curtains, a wall mount for the backdrops, a Jankula Images sign & it will be complete! Hopefully this time next year I will be sharing with you pictures of a second studio location 🙂  Would love your feedback and any other ideas you think would help make my studio that much better!

The whole studio had a fresh coat of paint, and then I decided to do my accent wall in (Martha Stewarts) silver metallic paint since I really wanted to stick with the colors black, white, & silver! I have 3 mirrors in my studio since every model loves to look & themselves 😉 its helpful while modeling as well. I seperated the main studio where I shoot and a hair & makeup space with some white sheer drapes and decorated the new makeup & hair station with my gorgeous new lighted vanity mirror from Vanity Girl Hollywood! I was so excited when I purchased my mirror from some Christmas money, it arrived within 2 days. This mirror is amazing! They had a few options to choose from on their  website, like colors, styles, & sizes but as a makeup artist & photographer I had to go with the Broadway Lighted Table Top Vanity Mirror since it has 13 large, professional-quality, dimming light bulbs, and provides the type of clean, soft white light makeup artists and photographers love. The base also has an easily accessible dual power outlet which is perfect for a airbrush compressor, or even hot tools to get stated on your hair! There are also so many celebs that are advertised as using these mirrors right now, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, and even the Kardashian’s have one in their DASH VIP Makeup room in New York, and they were also used at the 2010 olympics.

I finally had the time over winter vacation to update my website as well as make it html friendly so you can view it from your cell phones, ipads & computers! First Shoot of 2012 with the gorgeous Nikki Giavasis!

I’m happy to have had my first shoot of  2012 with such a positive, strong, and amazing woman!  You may have heard of Nikki Giavasis from one of her 3 published books, Modeling & Acting or seeing her at half time, as a former NFL cheerleader. Nikki also is a Mother, and specializes in public relations, marketing & entertainment management. We totally hit it off with tons of chit chat while doing her makeup and found we were both very passionate about a lot of the same causes and plan on making a huge impact on women & children in our community. We discussed making power moves with non-profit organizations dealing with battered women & children, as well as human trafficking that is happening right here on the streets of Los Angeles, as well as other cities across the US. Keep checking back to find out more of how you can get involved & watch our process and the empire that we are building this year- Its time to get this out in the open and make some changes!!!

New Year…New Blog!

So in a little less than 24 hours it will be 2012! Looking back on all my accomplishments from 2011 is mind blowing, I would never expect to have grown so much in photography in such a short period of time!

So many opportunities have just fallen into my lap that I am so grateful for…so I have decided why not share my journey with everyone this year, with tons of behind the scenes pictures & videos, up to date shoots, Jankula Images in the media, before & after shots, beauty/fashion tips, contests, model searches, specials, & shout outs to some of the amazing models/hair/makeup/wardrobe stylists that I work with on a regular basis!

I am kicking off 2012 with a BANG!
